Pleasure Fish 2nd March 2006 LCL
Temp4-9°C
Wind E (8 mph)
Relative Humidity (%): 77,
Pressure (mB): 1001, Falling,
Visibility: Good Sunny
Peg 12 Road bank
Set up on ledger with and tried a selection of boilies - pineapple, Source (one glugged for two years), pepperami change on the hour to different Location.
Ossie (12lb Common) has woken up from his Winter Slumbers and gave his usual displays of tail waking all over the lake - So good indicator that spring is just around the corner.
With the forecast showing wind later I set up on the Waggler - Have not used this for quite some time - with 4lb mainline and 1.5 Lb Hook link to Size 20 had intermitemt Roach fished at 15 metres best to 3/4 Lb and a nice Rudd around 4oz.
Struggled with tow to start with but managed to hold by shirt buttoning 4 no 8 equi spaced down the mainline.
Tried the Bomb method with the feeder rod (hand Held) Small Roach 1st Chuck, then another of around 3/4 lb then quiet again.
Used cocktail of Dead /Red maggot through out the day loose feeding both and Pinkies - Could only get Baby Perch on Pinkies.
